It is no surprise
I found this charming little wooden Japanese Kokeshi-type boy on turtle in a box of odds and ends at the estate sale of a man who had served in Japan during WWII and brought a lot back with him
but I think this just adds to its aura
This particular box I believe was refinished at some point (the exterior is in excellent condition)
which add up to a great patina
Scheurich Keramik West German Small Jug or Vase fat boy It is no surpriseA lovely example of West German Pottery by Scheurich Keramik, this small c. 1960s jug features a mottled, creamy salmon y pink background enhanced by an irregular greenish brown band. It is marked on the bottom 493 10, referring to the shape (493) and heigh of the vase (10 cm). The interior and bottom are glazed a smooth, rich brown. In perfect vintage condition, this jug would make a great vase, and a wonderful addition to a West German Pottery
