I must say this one just called to me

There are a couple with small broken bits

making a sort of a second frame for the slate

seemingly having been worked from both sides

Not sure why the row of holes down huis back, but I'd think just constructed from scrap wood and they were already there. 6 5 8 x 6 w on the square x 1 1 2 d and in good shape, with a little (original) messiness to the paint job and scuffs here and there.
