Portrait of Isaac Newton (1642-1727) mb-artistname W Summers The first Opera House (King'sHalf length painting of Newton, from an original oil portrait by Jervas at the Royal Society, showing the sitter in 1717 at the age of 74. Newton is shown in a red coat with a dark waistcoat and white neck cloth. Not signed. Isaac Newton was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1672, he served as its President from 1703 to 1727.
