Over the last six months the 2004 Cristal has come together beautifully and is shaping up to be a truly great

glossy but buoyant palate adds an animating tang of seedy white currant that sets up an invigorating and dynamic counterpoint with the wine’s sweetness and with the faintly jellied aspects of quince and mirabelle that feature alongside their fresh fruit expressions

with a refreshing finish

plum and spice that are trimmed in subtle wood treatment

Note that this too will require a few years to add depth because it is less complex than I typically find it at this same stage
